Reading some of the post are making scared of what to expect. Even if the church believes a bunch of crazy nonsense, and she believes it too, I still really like her and would like to see whether we can have some good intellectual conversations about this stuff. No one could compare to the man I married. Personally I have a rule that I will not enter a relationship with a believing Mormon. A good man is not defined by his religion and a great marriage is not defined by where it takes place. If she can see that YOU are what is important in the relationship, not what you or she believes, ya'll have a chance.
Does she understand that for a long-term relationship to succeed that the partners must treat each other as equals. We are trying to work together to live together in 3 years but since we are homosexuals and in an arabic country its kinda hard to try to live here so we have to wait for her to graduate to get out of here. You'll take out the trash, coordinate all the home repairs, pay all the bills, do all the yard work and generally work your ass off until you're emotionally and physically drained.
